About Me

Having spent 15 years working in the travel industry, both in the UK and overseas, I experienced the fast pace, excitement and inevitable stress that comes with this type of career.  I suspect this lifestyle contributed to my developing IBS, a condition which can be life limiting.

After many years of discomfort I decided to try homeopathy.  After only one homeopathic treatment, my symptoms were substantially improved.  Further visits to the homeopath resulted in a continued improvement and I slowly regained my health.  I was surprised and delighted and wanted to know more about this amazing system of healing.

This set me on a path of learning which culminated in gaining a license to practice from the South Downs School of Homeopathy in Chichester.

For my final year dissertation I produced a guide on the homeopathic treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.  Having thoroughly researched this subject I now have a special interest in treating digestive diseases.

My approach is friendly, sympathetic and down to earth. I encourage patients to take an active role in their healthcare by offering advice on diet and lifestyle where appropriate.  I share my knowledge of homeopathic remedies and encourage their use at home. I also run short courses on using homeopathy for common children's complaints and in minor first aid situations.

As a mother I have developed a particular interest in children's health, and help co-ordinate the Arnica Parent’s Support Network in Brighton & Hove. Arnica is a non-profit making, parent-led, national support network, and its main aim is to promote health and natural immunity. More details can be found on their website, www.arnica.org.uk.

Originally from the north of England I moved to Hove in 1995 and immediately felt it was a place I could settle. I now live in West Hove with my husband and 8 year old son.

My other passion (apart from homeopathy) is tennis. What I lack in ability I make up for in committment and enthusiasm, and play mostly outdoors, come rain or shine!
